Jon-Paul Kaiser is a favorite artist of mine. Lets get that sorted out straight away. I love the clear slick lines and monochrome style of his works, giving them an almost pulp-comic quality.
This time he unleashes his skills on Coarse's Oop and Aw, transforming them into "The Roman & The Beast". This duo "tells the story of an infant god gently sleeping after slaying a terrible beast." Converting the concept from a pair of sleeping friends to an infant resting beside the decapitated head of a beastly foe is genius. It reminds me of the final scene in The Grey, that silent, serene moment after a hard fought battle.
