DCAY 574 aka Matt Melville is back with a Halloween inspired dunny.. the Cadbury Screme Dunny!  Based on the 3" Dunny platform, this is an amazing work with a realistic looking scuplt that even looks edible!  I don't understand how the chocolate look so realistic.. and the creme filling!  amazing!  Following up his previous creme Dunny, DCAY574 has re sculpted the creme filling and entirely remade the wrapper.  These are available for preorder at DCAY574' s online store.  Move quickly!

CrestOne Warrior Blindbox 2.0 Series!

Otto Bjornik's World War D

Here's a new artist whose work I've never seen before,Otto Björnik.  Making circles around the blogosphere is his series of custom dunnies, World War D.  This series features a crisp black and white color tone with a touch of grey camo.  What's remarkable are the ultra clean and crisp lines, and as those amazingly lifelike eyes, especially when considering they're on the 3" sized figures! The series is made up of 10 blind box figures, releasing September 27, 2013, 11am EDT for $100 apiece.  Head out secure these soliders at this rendezvous area!

Shenkai Bo by Squink!

Chris Squink and his the works released by Squink! are amazing.  Known for his beautiful yet eerily haunting and ethereal works, the light, airy feel of his works are quite refreshing in a world of heavy, more serious fare.  Today CBT is bringing you the second in the Happy Dream Man series, Shenkai-Bo.  Clearly inspired by the Samurai of old, this oranged headed chap began his training in the squink studio as a normal 3" dunny.  An original head sculpt was created and then cast in resin for the final product.  A glass bead necklace, sword, and armour bits were added to arm this tiny warrior for the days ahead.  Shenkai will arrive complete with a signed & titled eco gift box as well as a numbered collector's card.  You can recruit Shenkai-Bo for £70 on September 19th, 2013 at 9PM BST or 1PM PST

Frozen cute!  Haus of Boz have taken the wraps of their upcoming Winter Jackalope! This little critter began life as a 3-inch Dunny and was transformed by the meticulous craftsmen at House of Boz.  Hand sculpted hand painted, and finished in varnish this one-of-a kind little guy will be released into the wild on September 17th at 12:00 noon PST for £65

It's getting a little breezy, time to pull on your fluffy socks and snuggle up with some hot chocolate.
When the leaves go crunchy, it's the perfect time to spot the Winter Jackalope. He might be in your garden, digging about in your flowerbeds for snacks, leaving behind his signature layer of frost, making turnips all the more delicious, the world over.
The Winter Jackalope is a 3" custom Kidrobot Dunny, sculpted on and painted by hand, finished with varnishes for UV protection.

Jon-Paul Kaiser's The Roman & The Beast

Jon-Paul Kaiser is a favorite artist of mine.  Lets get that sorted out straight away.  I love the clear slick lines and monochrome style of his works, giving them an almost pulp-comic quality.

This time he unleashes his skills on Coarse's Oop and Aw, transforming them into "The Roman & The Beast". This duo "tells the story of an infant god gently sleeping after slaying a terrible beast." Converting the concept from a pair of sleeping friends to an infant resting beside the decapitated head of a beastly foe is genius. It reminds me of the final scene in The Grey, that silent,serene  moment after a hard fought battle. 

What more need be said? 

Kevin Gosselin's Birch Tree Ent Custom or "I Love You So Much It Hurts"

There are some truly amazing artists out there, all with breathtaking work for us to see. Today, we've come across Kevin Gosselin's jaw dropping Birch Tree Ent.  He has masterfully sculpted this 4-inch Mini Munny to invoke myriad of emotions.  

The Ent on its own is spectacular, but he doesn't stop there, adding an even smaller 2.5" resin beaver pal, beaming after dining on his buddy's leg! Super adorable!

Titled "I Love You So Much It Hurts" this work is limited to 10 pieces and will be available Saturday, September 14th, 2013 at 12 Noon Pacific at Gosselin's web store. Priced at for $250 each this will go quickly so be ready. 

Bonus for collectors of rarer items, the original will be available for $300 and will be releases simultaneously.

This is my next piece in my series of tree ents.  I've once again revisited the birch tree theme and added a friend.  The birch tree character is different than the last with it's own unique details including a damaged leg from that of his friend the beaver.  The beaver is a new character developed to exist in my "Ready for Bedtime" world. 

When I began this piece I simply had the concept of a beaver chewing on a birch tree and the title "I love you so much it hurts." What I did not realize until I was finished was the significance of the symbolism I was putting in place. As some of you might know I was born in New Hampshire. What you might not know is that New Hampshire's state tree is the White Birch. So let's just say the ent represents me :-) You might also know that the beaver is Canada's national animal. What you might not know is that my wife is Canadian. While not intentional, I discovered that this piece could easily represent my wife and I

Cesar Diaz' Star Wars Custom Series

Cesar Diaz is one of my favorite artists out there.  I enjoy the whimsical spin he puts into his work, along with the cloth accessories he creates, like robes, capes, and whatnot.  I particularly enjoy his carded series, (any carded series for that matter!) because they remind me of those happy days, getting a new action figure from the store, tearing it open and unleashing the little plastic hero within.  This time he's releasing a new series based on everyones favorite heroes from a galaxy far far away! Psycho Customs 1/6 Zombie Superman

I'm not one for posting custom work unless its extra extra special. This time, I think this work warrants the recognition. It's is after all a combination of two of my favourite things; Zombies and Superman!

I came across this posted on the One Sixth Republic Facebook page. This undead hero began as a Hot Toys Christopher Reeve Superman, however though the machinations of Psycho Customs, he has since risen from the grave as what may be the most unstoppable zombie possible. Seriously. If kryptonite is the only thing than can kills Supes, and he's already dead, what then I ask you? What then?!?!

AngryWoebots x Kozik Labbit!

What have we got here? The great Frank Kozik's iconic Labbit has been customized by Angry Woebots in their trademark angry panda style!  Complete with their impeccable paintwork, this Labbit's paintwork definitely stands out from the pack. I'm quite fond of the Woebots work, with the vibrant, yet sharp paint work, the angry panda imagery and the whimsical-yet-ferocious vibe brings a chuckle to this collectors face!
