Tomorrow Queens! Strigoi Astronaut!

Tomorrow Queens.  Little is known about the story behind these femme fatales, but with so many previous posts about their male brethren, I'm long overdue.  As part of the 2013 TKLUB, one randomly selected colorway will be sent to everyone purchases TKLUB releases.  Having never owned a female 3A figure, or any female figure for that matter, a TQ would be a nice additon for sure!  Jury's out on the headsculpt though.  I'd like a parka or a jacket for a different look though, but I guess when it's a bonus, you can't be too picky!  What do you CBT readers think?

Next up is the Strigoi Astronaut from Ashley Wood's latest creation.. EVENFALL.  Posted on the Threea Blog and on the 3AVOX Facebook page, my first reaction to this figure was.. wtf.  It looks seriously messed up.  Not sure if its an alien, a mutated astronaut zombie, or what the heck it is!  (I know Strigoi is Romanian for poltergeist or an immortal vampire!  Just in time for haloween, maybe this is a new direction from the Zombkin and Charkin.  Regardless, it's a new direction and definitely unique! The Invasion Bloom starts in November, so keep your eyes peeled!

Personal News And Threea Merde Mission & TK Oya Sun Coming Soon

I've been away from ThreeA lately.  I've been working 2 jobs and some really difficult personal circumstances arose that have taken me a long way from the CBT store.  Instead I've been focusing on the blog as I can get posts uploaded on the train ride to and from work; and even that has been a struggle lately!  Truth be told, I've only been following the Tomorrow Kings and partially following the upcoming Metal Gear Ray.  This collector is trying to scale back purchases to a few lines and items.

Previously teased, I've been keeping an eye out for this little merde for a while.  So you can imagine my surprise when I sat down on the train to work and saw ThreeA was doing a surprise drop for Cold Merde Mission!  I immediately started scanning bambaland, 3AVox, and 3A twitter, and lo and behold I was able to get one of the last batch of Merde's!  I like the design and the multitude of holsters and straps and overall adventure-y look.  I think Cold Merde Mission is going to be a great addition to my collection and can't wait to get it!  No sure if I'll be removing it from the card or not, as a blister pack is a great display method.  We'll know once it arrives!

I wonder what goes inside?

In other 3A news, there is an upcoming Tomorrow King release, slotted for Oct 18th at 9:00 AM HK time.  The next Tomorrow King, dubbed the Ronin OYA Sun is descending with the most interesting gear yet!  What looks to be a giant bomb, a stylized jacket/bomb suit with a Daito vs the stand katana.  Positioned as the first of 4 figures in the TKLUB series towards a classic Tomorrow Queen.  I've never had a TQ but a free figure sounds good to me!  Especially if they're all as different as the last few TK's have been! I missed out Oya Moon, but this one has me more excited!

peek-a-boo!

that's a bad lower back waiting to happen

Posted Amazingly, they've managed to convert these top heavy designs into a stable poseable figure! on the ThreeA blog, these bots are releasing in 2 colorways, blue and red, these fully articulated bots will also include light up eyes. Not a bad deal for new engineered light up eyes for $220. ($187 with 3AA).  What's more, if you purchase your bot through Bambaland, they're also include boxing gloves! A must have for an TF2 fan! -from ThreeA blog

A buttload of ThreeA news

Another week, more ThreeA news comin at ya!  This week we have a few items of note.

First off , sales of the Dead Easy Company set completed, and in typical Ashley Wood style, fans saw a secret drop of a glow in the dark set as well as the previously teased Potato Commander. Many a finger were F5-ing like crazy!  Personally, I'm trying to stick to the Tomorrow Kings with the  occasional AK figure here and there, so I didn't get down on this one myself.

Next on the docket we have an update on the box art for Nage and the ultra rare, randomly inserted chase Ghost Nage. The second figure in the first TKLUB series, I picked  this Tomorrow King up a few months back and I'm eagerly anticipating its arrival. Previous TK collectors maligned the company for its rehash of the figure with little variation, however with 3A now releasing new TK designs with every drop, it's a good time to collect TK's!

Third on the list is an update regarding the the October Thingy and what's it's all about

-from 3A blog
It's about a thingy. See you at Bamba on the evening of 20th September and morning of the 30th

That's it.  A date.  You know the drill.. stay tuned!

Fourth up is a teaser for a what I can only guess is a new Milky Pascha. Little is revealed outside of this shot and a cryptic "We are always milky ghosts in October". I'm guessing this will drop during the ThreeA October Thingy.  Not sure if the sheet is included in the set.. but I hope so.. it seems more fun that way!

Lastly we have a teaser for the new Merde Mission.  Among the figures teased of late, this one interests me the most.  Previously teased with a backpack and different shirt and shoes, it appears Merde has gone thru a revision for the better.  Releasing as a 3A premade sale, this might be a limited drop. Hopefully it wont be a surprise drop so normy blokes like myself can score one.  I quite like the look of this one, particularly the holsters; very badass.  I'll be following this one closely.

Adventure Kartel The Bitch

Posted last night on the ThreeA Facebook page, this cute calamity clad in a canine coat has been teased. Slotted for a Bambaland release on an as-yet unknown date. Amusingly titled, THE BITCH Low Blow Specialist, this possible  beagle comes with the caption "Meanest dog in New Alexandria, a right bitch - Bleak Mission".  Is this teaser hunting at a new Bleak Mission? We'll just have to wait and see!

ThreeA Releases and Teasers

Expanding on the previous announcement of the new Emile A 239 Spartan, I neglected to mention the Bambaland exclusive Spartan Mark V EVA! This one has all the basic features of the Emile Spartan, but with a different paint job.  Clad in a more unassuming grey wiht some green at the bottom, this exclusive will be a must for any hardcore Halo fan! The latest issue of 3A Vox newsletter has been dedicated to the upcoming Spartan. Check out the scads of photos on the 3AVOX Facebook page!

Ashley Wood has done it again with a surprise release Action Portable SXCLUB Set. The set comprises a 1/12 Ankou figure clad in a creepy sexclub suit and a 1/12 Little Shadow MK2 in latex with a strap on!  Available now for $120 usd incl shipping at Bambaland!

We also have the Adventure Kartel Potato Commander sketch. I believe this is a preliminary drawing of a coming figure. Whimsical and fun, but it worries me a bit. I fear it's going to rehash of the Barguest head and mask, a standard Nom body and probably the Grunt belt. I hope I'm wrong and Ashley Wood will inject something we've never seen before!

Lastly, we have 2 more sketches, posted  only with with the words "Down The Line". With the Tomorrow Kings facing off against more of those pesky robots, one must wonder if these will be sets of TK's and 'Bots? The robot head has been done before so I wonder if it will be an AP sized set to facilitate this monster head? The giant sized robot, dubbed the TK Hunter, is interesting me most; a monster sized popbot of sorts!  I guess there's nothing to do but wait on Ashley Wood!

ThreeA Caliginosity and Emanation Field Commanders Releasing Tomorrow!

In typical ThreeA style, they have rather unexpectedly announced a coming drop scheduled for tomorrow.  2 sets will be available, the Caliginosity N.O.M. Field Commanders and the Emanation N.O.M Field Commanders.  These gas-masked little bastards will invade your home with Bertie MK2 set, ready to wreak all sorts of toy havoc.  Released in 1/12 scale, these are to be the final pieces in the first WWR series in this scale. From here, they will be moving on to a new series, WWR EVOL. With the onset if a new theme, WWRP fans should jump on these. As of this posting, price and release time have not been announced

If the price is right, I may pick up the shadow set as the finish of the Emanation set kind of looks like they slept in a puddle of filth, whole the red lenses on the Caliginosity give it a sinister, SS sort of look.

Ashley Wood and ThreeA have set the release date and price for their upcoming Adventure Kartel Dead Astronaut Gangsta. The figures comes in two different colours, black and white. Pricing is set at individually for $160 or as a set for $310 both including shipping. I really liked the whole zombie-ish astronaut look.
