Tomorrow Queens! Strigoi Astronaut!
Tomorrow Queens. Little is known about the story behind these femme fatales, but with so many previous posts about their male brethren, I'm long overdue. As part of the 2013 TKLUB, one randomly selected colorway will be sent to everyone purchases TKLUB releases. Having never owned a female 3A figure, or any female figure for that matter, a TQ would be a nice additon for sure! Jury's out on the headsculpt though. I'd like a parka or a jacket for a different look though, but I guess when it's a bonus, you can't be too picky! What do you CBT readers think?
Next up is the Strigoi Astronaut from Ashley Wood's latest creation.. EVENFALL. Posted on the Threea Blog and on the 3AVOX Facebook page, my first reaction to this figure was.. wtf. It looks seriously messed up. Not sure if its an alien, a mutated astronaut zombie, or what the heck it is! (I know Strigoi is Romanian for poltergeist or an immortal vampire! Just in time for haloween, maybe this is a new direction from the Zombkin and Charkin. Regardless, it's a new direction and definitely unique! The Invasion Bloom starts in November, so keep your eyes peeled!

USAF Pararescue Jumpers Soldier Story
Soldier Story makes amazingly detailed figures! Known for their exacting detail in all their accessories, this new figure is no exception. Coming soon is their new USAF Pararescue Jumpers. Helmeted in a detailed night vision setup with battery pack pouch, a scarf and sunglasses this figure is detailed from head to toe! The figures comes armed with a SCAR H mk17 rifle and a rocket launcher which you can bet they'll have a diecast construction as well. The backpack even has a mesh back, and the mini Arcteryx jacket has a working zip up hood. Even the ropes were tied off with accuracy! The patches are details that I really like, from the Batman emblem to the Starfucks patch. The body armor is intense, with pockets and loops for ammo magazines, glow sticks, carabiners, the lanyards and even the grip on the rifle are ultra detailed! Fans of realistic military/armed forces type figures will definitely enjoy this one!

Psycho Customs pt II
With the season 4 premier of The Walking Dead just around the corner and a tragic shortage of posts in the last week, we've decided we should get off our bee-hinds and put something together.
Today we have a collection of 1/6 figures, customized by the talented folks at Psycho Customs. A grisly series of Zombified DC Heroes! I previously posted their zombie Superman, and now we are compiling shots of their other DCU related undead heroes!
I've long enjoyed the Flash and the idea of super speed. Since yours truly is chronically late, the idea of super speed has always had a certain appeal to this blogger. I'm not so sure how super speed would affect an undead body, but I tells ya, a super fast zombie? My cardio isn't good enough to outrun a normal walking zombie.
Oh 60's Batman and Robin. They always made me laugh with their campy antics and chummy rapport. This time there's no campiness nor old chums. Just a young boy and his creepy bat-suited ward turned undead. I have to wonder if it was Batman that was chewing on Robin's face?

A buttload of ThreeA news
Another week, more ThreeA news comin at ya! This week we have a few items of note.
First off , sales of the Dead Easy Company set completed, and in typical Ashley Wood style, fans saw a secret drop of a glow in the dark set as well as the previously teased Potato Commander. Many a finger were F5-ing like crazy! Personally, I'm trying to stick to the Tomorrow Kings with the occasional AK figure here and there, so I didn't get down on this one myself.
Next on the docket we have an update on the box art for Nage and the ultra rare, randomly inserted chase Ghost Nage. The second figure in the first TKLUB series, I picked this Tomorrow King up a few months back and I'm eagerly anticipating its arrival. Previous TK collectors maligned the company for its rehash of the figure with little variation, however with 3A now releasing new TK designs with every drop, it's a good time to collect TK's!
Third on the list is an update regarding the the October Thingy and what's it's all about
-from 3A blog
It's about a thingy. See you at Bamba on the evening of 20th September and morning of the 30th
That's it. A date. You know the drill.. stay tuned!
That's it. A date. You know the drill.. stay tuned!
Fourth up is a teaser for a what I can only guess is a new Milky Pascha. Little is revealed outside of this shot and a cryptic "We are always milky ghosts in October". I'm guessing this will drop during the ThreeA October Thingy. Not sure if the sheet is included in the set.. but I hope so.. it seems more fun that way!
Lastly we have a teaser for the new Merde Mission. Among the figures teased of late, this one interests me the most. Previously teased with a backpack and different shirt and shoes, it appears Merde has gone thru a revision for the better. Releasing as a 3A premade sale, this might be a limited drop. Hopefully it wont be a surprise drop so normy blokes like myself can score one. I quite like the look of this one, particularly the holsters; very badass. I'll be following this one closely.

STGCC shots of Justice League by Play Imaginative
The absence of the glamazon in lieu of Cyborg seems odd to me. Cyborg does translate to the Alloy part of their Super Alloy concept, but an armoured Wonder Woman would work and fit better in the lineup. Especially when it looks like Cyborg can't articulate very well. Seriously he looks like he trying to crush out a robot poop and this is the best Play Imaginative could do?
Green Lantern seems to fare the best of the bunch. He gets a bunch of armor items and a battery. Everyone else gets a stand, what I can only guess is a laser pointer, 1 or 2 accessories (a bat-ray gun?!?) and a stand.

Psycho Customs 1/6 Zombie Superman
I came across this posted on the One Sixth Republic Facebook page. This undead hero began as a Hot Toys Christopher Reeve Superman, however though the machinations of Psycho Customs, he has since risen from the grave as what may be the most unstoppable zombie possible. Seriously. If kryptonite is the only thing than can kills Supes, and he's already dead, what then I ask you? What then?!?!

Kneel Before Hot Toys' General Zod
Kneel !!!
After some speculation and a few leaked convention photos of rather bootleg quality, Hot Toys has officially announced their 1/6 scale Man of Steel, General Zod figure! Posted in their General Zod album on their Facebook page the update arrived unceremoniously last night. This nerd of doesn't get too excited nowadays but news of this release has me giddy with anticipation! I loved Man of Steel, and Michael Shannon's scenery chewing portrayal of the might General was one of many favourite parts.
The head sculpt, with Michael Shannon's terrifying grimace, is spot on with the boiling rage of the character. Either boiling rage, or major constipation, you choose. Either way I'd be pissed too. From the scars and moles to his wrinkles and teeth, this is a tremendous piece of work.
All is not sunshine and roses. Everyone's favourite Hong Kong toymakers have gone a little slim on the accessories. A switch out armoured head, 3 pairs of hands and a stand. Oh and what appears to be a removable cape. Come the fuck on. I get that the suit is well sculpted, but the accessory count is still pretty lame. I'd let it slide if the armour were removable to show off Zod's black version of the super onesie, or if the cape were that feathery/fur material used in the film. Not likely though. Either way, The General will make more than a few collectors kneel and will be a must buy for CBT!
Enough talk! Enjoy the pics below courtesy Hot Toys' Facebook page

ThreeA announcements galore!
ThreeA has been announcing upcoming projects left and right! Currently available at bambaland for a limited sale, we have the World Of 7174 T-shirt with a light hearted design. I like this shirt, almost as much as the previous TK themed release a few weeks ago.
Next we have the recently announced release of the EMILE SPARTAN 1/6 scale figure for the Halo series. Following up o the Spartan commando release, this space marine is packed to the gills with gear. What appears to be a shotgun, chest grenades, waist grenades, knife, rubber undersuit, the usual amazing ThreeA paintwork with an eye catching white on gold skull helmet design and crimson shoulder armour, and led lit suit. I'm sure many a Halo and ThreeA fans are spinning in their chairs, juggling their controllers, clearing shelf space in their led lit Ikea Detolf cabinets and commencing their diorama work while bouncing with glee at the expected drop date. That or lamenting why someone else wasn't released. Isn't that always the case with this Halo license? At any rate the figure looks great! Keep your eyes peeled and your F5 fingers on bambaland on AUGUST 30th

Lastly, we have a teaser for the next Fighting JC. Resurrecting in October, we have the next iteration of our favourite zombie god-fisting hero! Not much is known outside of this picture, but it has me sitting up in anticipation of details. Teasing what appears to be a belt of pouches, JC may come with some weapons this time. A possible departure for this undead battling pugilist, but care not do I. Indeed, Shit just got Real. BOOM.
